Dylan Larkin scored two goals and earned an assist as the visiting Detroit Red Wings defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-2 Tuesday night.

Alex DeBrincat had a goal and an assist as the Red Wings defeated the Blues for the second time in four days.

Ben Chiarot and Elmer Soderblom also scored goals for Detroit, Lucas Raymond had two assists, and John Gibson made 20 saves.

Brayden Schenn and Jordan Kyrou scored and Jordan Binnington made 15 saves for the Blues, whose winless streak reached five games.

The Blues struck first, just 47 seconds in the game. Philip Broberg fired a slap shot and Schenn converted the rebound.

Detroit tied the game 1-1 with 7:59 left in the first period with a fortunate bounce. Chiarot shot wide from the left point, but the puck caromed off Blues defenseman Justin Faulk into the net.

The Red Wings capitalized on a power play in the final minute of the period to take a 2-1 lead. Moritz Seider fired a shot that DeBrincat deflected past Binnington.

The game opened up in the second period and both teams earned excellent scoring chances. Kyrou made a wraparound bid, Alexandre Texier broke in alone from the right wing and Pavel Buchnevich just missed a redirection at the left post for the Blues.

The Red Wings also had multiple opportunities. Larkin sent Emmitt Finnie in alone, forcing Binnington to make a tough save, and he also made a wraparound bid on the power play.

Larkin increased Detroit’s lead to 3-1 at the 11:14 mark. He won the faceoff, then drove to the net and redirected Simon Edvinsson’s pass from the left point.

Elmer Soderblom increased the margin to 4-1 at 12:56. The Blues left Soderblom alone in front of the net and he scored off Michael Rasmussen’s centering pass.

Kyrou cut the Blues’ deficit to 4-2 by scoring from the slot off Pius Suter’s pass, but Larkin iced the game with an empty-net goal.
