KT Rolster surge into World Championship grand final

KT Rolster continued their unbeaten run with a 3-1 semifinal win against Gen.G Esports on Saturday at the $5 million League of Legends 2025 World Championship in Shanghai.

KT Rolster will face the winner of Sunday’s semifinal between T1 and Top Esports in the Nov. 9 grand final in Chengdu, where the winning team will take home $1 million.

After finishing 3-0 in the Swiss Stage and sweeping CTBC Flying Oyster in the Knockout Stage quarterfinals, KT Rolster got a tough fight from Gen.G Esports.

KT Rolster opened with a 47-minute win on red, but Gen.G Esports leveled with a 39-minute win on blue. KT Rolster eliminated Gen.G Esports in third-fourth place ($400,000) with a 29-minute win on blue and a 35-minute win on red.

The all-South Korean KT Rolster lineup features match MVP Bo-sung “Bdd” Gwak along with Seung-min “PerfecT” Lee, U-chan “Cuzz” Mun, Dae-gil “deokdam” Seo and Yoon-su “Peter” Jeong.

The 17-team tourney began in Beijing with the Swiss Stage on Oct. 14. Eight teams reached the Knockout Stage in Shanghai, a single-elimination bracket in which all matches are best-of-five.
