Boston shot 55% from the floor (54 of 99) and 43% from 3-point territory (20 of 47). The Celtics scored at least 32 points in all four quarters.

The Celtics held a 32-26 lead after one quarter and extended the lead to 48-34 when a Walsh dunk ended an 8-0 run with 8:21 left in the second quarter.

Boston had its largest lead of the first half at 54-37 following a Walsh 3-pointer with 5:52 remaining, but Washington scored the next 12 points to make it a 54-49 game. The Celtics were up 66-59 at halftime.

The Celtics pulled away in the third and led 107-83 after a White 3-pointer capped a 9-0 run with 1:19 left in the quarter.

Boston had a 109-86 lead with 12 minutes to play, then scored the first 10 points in the fourth quarter.

Washington forward Alex Sarr missed his third straight game with adductor soreness. Sarr leads the team in points (19.1 per game) and rebounds (8.6).
