Timberwolves rally past Bucks as Donte DiVincenzo pours in 18

Anthony Edwards scored 24 points, Donte DiVincenzo added 18 points, and the Minnesota Timberwolves rallied for a 103-100 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday in Minneapolis.

Rudy Gobert finished with 11 points and a team-high 18 rebounds for Minnesota, which won for the fourth time in the past five games. Julius Randle added 12 points and eight boards.

Kevin Porter Jr. finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to lead Milwaukee. Ryan Rollins scored 16 points off the bench, and both Bobby Portis (16 points, 11 rebounds) and Kyle Kuzma (12 points, 10 rebounds) finished with double-doubles.

The Timberwolves trailed by 16 points early in the second half before mounting a comeback.

After surrendering the lead, Jericho Sims made a dunk to put the Bucks on top 85-83 with 8:56 left in the fourth quarter.

Terrence Shannon Jr. responded with back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Timberwolves an 89-85 lead with 7:55 to play. A running layup by Bones Hyland increased the advantage to seven points with 6:12 remaining.

Minnesota held on the rest of the way. Porter Jr. made a 3-pointer to cut the Bucks’ deficit to three points with 0.5 seconds left, but Milwaukee did not get another shot as time expired.

The teams were tied at 75-all entering the fourth quarter.

The Timberwolves went on a 20-0 run during the third quarter to erase a double-digit deficit. They trailed 68-53 with 9:06 left in the quarter, and by the end of the run they held a 73-68 lead with 3:06 to play in the quarter.

Gobert and Naz Reid made back-to-back layups to start the run. DiVincenzo drained two 3-pointers and Mike Conley made another 3-pointer during the 20-point outburst.

Milwaukee led 60-48 at the half.

Porter Jr. made a step-back jump shot from 25 feet to finish the first-half scoring for the Bucks.

Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels played only nine minutes before leaving the game because of an apparent hip or lower-back injury. McDaniels finished 0-for-4 from the field and had one assist and one rebound before his early exit.
