Blue Cain and Jeremiah Wilkinson combined for 39 points to help No. 25 Georgia overpower West Georgia 103-74 on Monday in Athens, Ga.

It was the second straight game and the school-record sixth time this season that the Bulldogs surpassed 100 points. The Bulldogs entered the game averaging 99.5 points and with a scoring margin of 27.9 points, both best in the nation

Georgia (11-1) improved to 35-0 in nonconference games in coach Mike White’s four years at the school.

Cain was 9-for-13 from the floor and scored 20 points with four assists and three steals. Wilkinson drained three 3-pointers and scored 19.

Somto Cyril had 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for his second double-double in a row, with four blocks. Marcus “Smurf” Millender added 12, while Kareem Stagg and Jordan Ross each scored 10.

Georgia didn’t miss starting forward Kanon Catchings (9.2 points, 4.8 rebounds), who was out with an illness.

West Georgia (6-6) was led by Shelton Williams-Dryden with 23 points, 17 of those coming in the first half, and nine rebounds. Malcolm Noel scored 16 and JaVar Daniel added 15 points and six rebounds.

The Bulldogs wasted no time jumping on the Wolves, racing to a 7-0 lead, and used back-to-back layups by Millender to up the lead to 21-10 at 13:20. West Georgia got as close as eight on a fast-break basket by Williams-Dryden at 6:44, only to have Georgia go on a 12-0 run to up its lead to 20 points.

But West Georgia outscored Georgia 14-2 over the final 3:50 and cut Georgia’s halftime lead to 46-38.

The Wolves closed to within five when Matija Zuzic drained a 3-pointer on the first possession of the second half and the Braves were still within five after a Noel jumper with 17:46.

But Georgia scored 11 consecutive points — five from Cain and six from Wilkinson — to rebuild a 16-point lead at 16:12. West Georgia never got within 14 points again.
