Mark Stone had two goals and an assist Friday night as the visiting Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 6-3.

Jack Eichel recorded a goal and an assist. Keegan Kolesar, Pavel Dorofeyev and Braeden Bowman also scored for the Golden Knights, who rebounded from a 4-3 road loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday.

Ivan Barbashev added two assists on Friday and Adin Hill stopped 18 shots.

John Tavares, Scott Laughton and Bobby McMann scored for the Maple Leafs, who have lost the first three of a five-game homestand. Matthew Knies added two assists.

Toronto goaltender Anthony Stolarz, who had been out with a nerve issue, played for the first time since Nov. 11 and made 25 saves.

Eichel was perched just to the left of the net when he scored at 1:06 of the first period on a quick, 10-foot shot after Stone’s pass.

Kolesar scored on a fat rebound from Jonas Rondbjerg’s shot at 4:31 of the first.

Golden Knights forward Mitch Marner, who played for the Maple Leafs for nine years until this season, was booed on the opening shift of the game on his return to Toronto. Later in the first period, he received an ovation during a video tribute.

Tavares scored 13 seconds into the second period. Knies hit the goal post, Hill tried to sweep the puck away on the rebound before Tavares knocked it in.

Dorofeyev restored the two-goal margin at 3:32 when he put in the rebound after his first shot hit the post.

Turnovers continued to plague Toronto, and Bowman took advantage at 5:16 with the laser from the right circle just under the bar.

Laughton squeezed a backhand past Hill on a breakaway at 10:04 on a pass from Knies.

McMann scored at 18:19 of the second on a high tip that survived a video review on Max Domi’s shot.

Toronto went on a power play at 12:27 of the third period but did not have a shot on goal.

Stone shot from the right circle on a pass from Barbashev to complete a 2-on-1 at 15:11 of the third period to give Vegas a two-goal lead.

Stone scored into an empty net at 19:01.

Defenseman Rasmus Andersson had an assist in his debut for Vegas following a trade with the Calgary Flames.
