The Washington Nationals are signing right-hander Zack Littell to a one-year contract, multiple media outlets reported Sunday.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Littell, who split last season with the Cincinnati Reds and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Littell, 30, posted an 8-8 record with a 3.58 ERA in 22 starts with the Rays before being sent to the Reds at the MLB trade deadline. He had been a mainstay of Tampa Bay’s rotation for the previous 2 1/2 seasons after pitching largely out of the bullpen for the Minnesota Twins, San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox from 2018 to 2023.
Littell had a 2-0 mark with a 4.39 ERA in 10 starts with Cincinnati in 2025.
He is 34-29 with a 3.88 ERA in 234 career games (79 starts) with five teams.
