LIV players Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton are officially part of the field for next month’s Genesis Scottish Open, a co-sanctioned event by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour.
The announcement from the DP World Tour came down Wednesday for the July 9-12 tournament at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick. The entire field is slated to be revealed on July 3.
Rahm and Hatton are eligible for the event as DP World Tour members. Neither are members of the PGA Tour after they exited in favor of playing on the LIV Tour.
Rahm last played in a PGA Tour non-major tournament when he tied for 18th at the Tour Championship in 2023. Hatton played in two PGA non-major tournaments in 2024, tying for 14th at the Sentry and tying for 13th at the Sony Open in Hawaii.
LIV currently is in a stretch without events after this week’s tournament in New Orleans was canceled. The next LIV event is in the United Kingdom from July 23-26.
Among other Europeans in the field are Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy, Ireland’s Shane Lowry, Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, England’s Tommy Fleetwood and Norway’s Viktor Hovland.
Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, J.J. Spaun and defending champion Chris Gotterup are among the PGA Tour members to commit to the event.
Rahm, 31, has two victories on the LIV tour this season. The Spaniard also tied for second at the PGA Championship, tied for 38th at the Masters and missed the cut at last week’s U.S. Open.
Hatton, 34, won at Valderrama, Spain, earlier this month. The Englishmen tied for third at the Masters, tied for seventh at the U.S. Open and missed the cut at the PGA Championship.
Rahm and Hatton are members of Rahm’s Legion XIII team.
