Shohei Ohtani smacked a three-run homer, Andy Pages hit a two-run blast and Max Muncy belted a solo shot to help the Los Angeles Dodgers record a 9-4 victory over the Athletics on Monday in West Sacramento, Calif.

Ohtani, Pages and Muncy were among eight Dodgers with two hits as Los Angeles matched its season high of 17 hits while winning for the sixth time in seven games. Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts recorded his 999th career victory.

Muncy, 35, had two RBIs while batting seventh and playing third base. The Athletics also had a Max Muncy (age 23) batting seventh and playing third base. He was born 12 years to the day later, is no relation and went 1-for-3 with a run and a walk.

Freddie Freeman and Dalton Rushing each had two hits and one RBI for the Dodgers. Also with two hits were Kyle Tucker, Miguel Rojas and Teoscar Hernandez, who was activated from the injured list prior to the game. Hernandez had been out since late May due to a hamstring ailment.

Joshua Kuroda-Grauer had three hits and an RBI in his major league debut for the Athletics, who have lost three straight games and seven of their last nine. Colby Thomas (homer) and Alika Williams had two hits apiece for the A’s.

Dodgers starter Eric Lauer (4-5) gave up three runs and nine hits over six innings. He struck out two and walked one.

Athletics rookie Gage Jump (3-2) was roughed up for five runs and 11 hits, both career highs, over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out five without a walk.

Muncy of Los Angeles smashed a 422-foot homer to right-center to lead off the fourth and tie the contest at 3.

Rojas followed with a double. Jump retired the next two batters before Pages sent a two-run homer over the wall in left to give the Dodgers a 5-3 advantage.

In the sixth, Rojas led off with a single and Rushing walked off Matt Krook. Ohtani came to the plate and walloped the ball 432 feet to right to increase Los Angeles’ lead to five.

Freeman grounded an RBI single through the left side in the eighth to make it 9-3. The A’s scored in the ninth on a wild pitch.

Hernandez and Tucker singled to start the second before the Dodgers’ Muncy drove in a run with a ground-ball single. One out later, Rushing’s single made it 2-0.

Thomas hit his blast to right-center in the bottom of the inning. One out later, Muncy of the A’s and Williams reached with singles.

Kuroda-Grauer then came up for his first at-bat in the majors and singled to tie the score. Henry Bolte’s fielder’s-choice grounder plated Williams to give the Athletics a 3-2 lead.
