Tommy Edman delivered a game-ending RBI single in the 10th inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers returned home Friday to earn a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Max Muncy hit a home run and Mookie Betts added a two-run single as the Dodgers increased their winning streak to four games after a 7-13 stretch that dated back to their last four-game win streak.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto gave up two runs on five hits with nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings in his second consecutive nine-strikeout start.

After Dodgers right-hander Evan Phillips (1-2) held the Pirates scoreless in the bottom of the 10th, Edman hit a two-out RBI single to right field to score Enrique Hernandez from third base.

Nick Gonzales had a pair of RBI singles, Oneil Cruz hit a two-run home run and right-hander Bubba Chandler gave up four runs on four hits over four innings for the Pirates, who lost the opener of a nine-game road trip that also includes stops at San Diego and St. Louis.

Pittsburgh left-hander Gregory Soto (5-4) had two outs in the 10th and had Edman in an 0-2 count before Los Angeles pulled off the victory.

The Pirates jumped out to a 1-0 lead four batters into the game. Brandon Lowe singled, Bryan Reynolds was hit by a pitch and Gonzales singled to center to score Lowe.

The Dodgers moved in front in the bottom of the first when Shohei Ohtani led off with a walk and Muncy hit a two-out home run to right field, his 26th of the season and third in his past five games.

Gonzales added another RBI single for Pittsburgh in the third inning to tie the score 2-2.

Los Angeles moved in front 4-2 in the third when Betts delivered a two-run single with the bases loaded and two outs.

The Pirates tied it 4-4 in the eighth inning on a two-run home run from Cruz off right-hander Kyle Hurt.

The Dodgers lost All-Star center fielder Andy Pages in the fifth inning, two innings after he was hit by a pitch in the back of the left hand by Chandler.
