Hunter Goodman homered in his return from the injured list as the Colorado Rockies snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the host Washington Nationals on Tuesday.

Jordan Beck collected two hits for Colorado, which leveled the four-game series at one victory apiece.

The Rockies, who entered the game with the fourth-highest bullpen ERA in the majors (4.88), got five innings of scoreless relief. Mark Manfredi (1-0) pitched one inning for his first big-league win, and Jordan Romano worked the ninth for his 13th save.

Daylen Lile had two hits, including a homer in his second straight game, but the Nationals lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Washington went 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and totaled five hits one night after scoring 13 runs on 13 hits.

Mason Adams started for Colorado and pitched four innings in his major league debut. He allowed a run on three hits and three walks while striking out five.

Washington starter Andrew Alvarez (2-6) gave up three runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out six and walked two.

Goodman, who missed the past two weeks due to a left shoulder strain, led off the fourth inning with his 35th homer of the season to open the scoring. After TJ Rumfield walked, Willi Castro grounded into a fielder’s choice. Connor Norby then doubled to center, driving in Castro.

Lile hit his 17th homer of the season leading off the bottom of the fourth to pull the Nationals within 2-1.

Beck singled leading off the Colorado fifth and went to second on a one-out single by Jake McCarthy. On a wild pitch, Beck tried to score from second and was initially called out at home. However, Nationals third baseman Brady House was called for obstructing Beck, and the Rockies led 3-1.

Rumfield walked and Castro doubled with two outs in the eighth inning, but Max Kranick struck out Norby to end the threat.

Romano worked around a two-out walk in the ninth, inducing a game-ending flyout from pinch hitter Keibert Ruiz.
