Logan Henderson was nearly perfect for the Milwaukee Brewers, who won their third straight game, beating the visiting Texas Rangers 6-1 on Friday night.

Henderson (9-2) faced 22 batters over seven innings, with Danny Jansen’s two-out home run in the third inning the only blemish on his stat line. The 24-year-old rookie right-hander struck out seven as he tied his major league high in innings pitched and continued a dominant stretch since the All-Star break.

William Contreras drove in three while going 2-for-4, and Jake Bauers went 2-for-2 with three walks and scored twice for the team with the best record in the major leagues. Christian Yelich (3-for-5) enjoyed his sixth three-hit game of the season to lead the 14-hit attack.

Milwaukee gave Henderson the lead early. Brice Turang led off the bottom of the first with a bunt single off Rangers starter Cody Bradford (0-3) and reached second thanks to Bradford’s throwing error. The Brewers second baseman advanced to third on Jackson Chourio’s deep flyout to right field and scored on a Contreras groundout.

Yelich followed with a double to make it 2-0, scoring Bauers.

Bradford settled down from there, but the Brewers got to him one last time in the sixth when David Hamilton’s two-out single to center field scored Sal Frelick from second.

Just before Hamilton got to the plate, Rangers manager Skip Schumaker visited the mound, and reliever Tyler Alexander left the bullpen thinking he was coming in. Instead, he would enter a batter later.

Bradford, in his fifth start since returning from a left elbow injury sustained in 2025 spring training, threw 100 pitches, 19 more than in any of his other appearances this season. He allowed nine hits and two walks, and all three runs were earned.

Aaron Ashby relieved Henderson in the eighth inning, allowing a walk and single to bring up the tying run in Jansen. However, the Rangers catcher grounded out to Turang to end the threat. DL Hall struck out the side in a perfect ninth as Texas lost its third straight.
