Zach Neto, Jose Siri and Denzer Guzman homered as the visiting Los Angeles Angels beat the Boston Red Sox 6-4 on Wednesday.

The Angels (56-90) earned two wins in the three-game series, and they logged back-to-back wins for the first time since beating the Texas Rangers on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13. After the Red Sox won the opener 5-2 on Monday, the Angels earned a 6-1 victory on Tuesday.

Los Angeles starter Ryan Johnson (4-8) pitched six innings, giving up three runs on five hits and one walk with five strikeouts. Ben Joyce yielded a run in the ninth inning but earned his fourth save.

Guzman collected three of Los Angeles’ 12 hits.

Roman Anthony hit a two-run home run for Boston (80-67), which also received a solo home run from Wilyer Abreu. Johnson surrendered both home runs. Jarren Duran amassed two hits and two runs.

Neto’s three-run homer followed singles by Oswald Peraza and Guzman and put the Angels up 3-0 in the third. It was the second home run in as many games for Neto, his 25th of the season. He finished 2-for-3 on Wednesday after going 4-for-5 on Tuesday.

After Mike Trout doubled later in the inning, Siri hit a two-run homer that extended the lead to 5-0.

The Angels led 6-0 after Guzman belted a solo home run in the fourth. All three Los Angeles long balls came against Boston starter Jake Bennett (9-7), who permitted six runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings. He fanned two and walked one.

Anthony’s home run trimmed Boston’s deficit to 6-2 in the fifth, and Abreu’s blast made it a 6-3 game in the sixth.

Boston brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth after Nate Eaton’s single drove in Duran to slice the Angels’ lead to 6-4. Joyce retired Anthony on a fly ball to right, ending the game.
