Atlanta City FC is the name of the NWSL expansion team that will debut in the Georgia capital in 2028.
The league’s 17th club unveiled its name, crest and colors on Monday.
The official team colors are Atlanta red, Georgia peach, black char, platinum metallic and dogwood white. The crest features a phoenix with feathers forming an “A” for Atlanta and tree roots “to represent quiet strength,” according to the team.
“Our goal is to build Atlanta City FC into a championship-caliber club that reflects the attitude of Atlanta and serves as a source of pride for the passionate supporters of this city,” president of soccer Mauricio Culebro said.
