LSU cemented its spot at No. 1 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll after its big win Saturday against Alabama, which fell from the second spot to No. 4.

LSU moved to 9-0 and Alabama to 8-1 with the Tigers’ 46-41 victory.

In the latest poll, released Sunday, Minnesota (9-0) jumped from No. 13 to No. 7 with its upset of Penn State on Saturday. And another Big Ten team, No. 24 Indiana (7-2), entered the Top 25 for the first time since 1994.

Moving up one spot was Ohio State (9-0), a 73-14 winner over Maryland. The Buckeyes were No. 1 in the first College Football Playoff rankings, which were released Tuesday. The committee’s new rankings will be released Tuesday night.
