Davante Adams Next Team Odds: Jets open as strong favorite

davante adams

Davante Adams said before the 2024 NFL Draft that he had no desire to be traded by the Raiders and that Las Vegas “is where I want to be.”

Five months later and with the Raiders scuffling to a 1-2 start that included being blown out by previously winless Carolina on Sunday, could that sentiment change?

Adams has 18 receptions on 27 targets for 209 yards and one touchdown through three games. Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said some players made “business decisions” during Sunday’s loss, and while sticking by those comments on Monday, he also said that a potential change from starting quarterback Gardner Minshew to backup Aidan O’Connell would be evaluated.

Adams, 31, is under contract through the 2026 season. SportsBetting.ag took down its prop bet on potential destinations for Adams in April, but reopened the market on Monday.

Leading the way is the New York Jets, where Adams would be reunited with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers. And the quarterback could certainly use another elite weapon opposite Garrett Wilson.

The second-shortest odds belong to the Kansas City Chiefs, although it would likely be difficult for Raiders general manager Tom Telesco to trade the six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver to a bitter division rival. The top five teams in the market are all from the AFC, including Baltimore and Buffalo, two teams who could benefit from an upgrade at receiver.
