Wrexham confirmed the signings of midfielder Callum O’Hare from Sheffield United and defender Joe Worrall from Burnley ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.

Both signings were for undisclosed fees, with O’Hare signing a three-year deal with an option for an additional year.

The club announced Worrall signed a two-year deal, also with the option for an additional year. It included a transfer fee of about $2.7 million, with the contract being worth up to $9.4 million, according to ESPN.

O’Hare, 28, scored eight goals in 45 league appearances last season. He arrived at Sheffield United in July 2024 following four years with Coventry City, and has missed only three Championship matches over the past two seasons.

“Everyone knows about Wrexham,” O’Hare said. “They’re pushing, and that for me is perfect — a team that is pushing for success who will keep going until it aligns. I’m really excited.

“I was out in (Los Angeles) on holiday, and you could see things about Wrexham out there — the club is really big and well known. I just wanted to come here — I’m excited to start.”

Worrall, 29, has made 26 appearance in all competitions since joining Burnley in the summer of 2024. He made 11 Premier League appearances for the Clarets last season, but was an unused substitute through their first three Championship games this season.

“I’m super excited to get my teeth into working with good players, the manager and the ownership,” Worrall said. “I’m here to win football matches and achieve something special.

“Everything that Wrexham’s about, I’m going to throw myself into it head-first and give my all for this badge.”

Worrall and O’Hare are the sixth and seventh signings during a busy transfer window for Wrexham. They join fellow newcomers goalkeeper Anthony Patterson, wing-backs Danny Imray, Issa Kabore and Jacques Ekomie and central midfielder Ben Whiteman.

Wrexham also announced that defender Dan Scarr, who made 20 league appearances for the Red Dragons during the 2025-26 season, signed with Salford City on a permanent deal. His departure follows that of defender Conor Coady, who left the club by mutual consent on Monday.

The Red Dragons have begun their Championship season with two draws and a defeat. Following a 2-1 home loss to Birmingham City, Wrexham are preparing to play at Millwall on Wednesday.
