Crazy Raccoon among four teams to reach QFs at World Finals

Crazy Raccoon and Al Qadsiah used a pair of 3-0 sweeps to reach the upper-bracket semifinals at the Overwatch Champions Series 2025 World Finals on Thursday in Stockholm.

Crazy Raccoon will meet Al Qadsiah in one semifinal match, while the other will pit Twisted Minds against Team Falcons.

Twelve teams are competing for a crowd-funded prize pool at the double-elimination Overwatch 2 event. The best-of-seven grand final takes place on Sunday.

After the action began Wednesday with four best-of-three Round 1 matches in the upper bracket, the matches moved to a best-of-five format.

In Thursday’s quarterfinals, Crazy Raccoon blanked Spacestation Gaming 2-0 on Ilios Control, 1-0 on King’s Row Hybrid and 1-0 on Route 66 Escort.

Al Qadsiah defeated Weibo Gaming 2-1 on Ilios Control, 1-0 on Shambali Monastery Escort and 1-0 on Blizzard World Hybrid.

Twisted Minds, meanwhile, rallied to stun T1 3-2.

T1 began with a 2-0 victory on Busan Control and a 2-1 win on King’s Row Hybrid. Twisted Minds fended off defeat by taking Shambali Monastery Escort 3-0 and New Queen Street Push 115.46m-62.92m. The final round was New Junk City Flashpoint, where Twisted Minds prevailed 3-2.

Finally, Team Falcons defeated Team Liquid 3-1. They triumphed 2-1 on Nepal Control, took a 1-0 defeat on Shambali Monastery Escort, then bounced back to win 3-2 on King’s Row Hybrid and 104.56m-75.31m on New Queen Street Push.

The tournament continues Friday with the first four matches in the lower bracket:

–T1 vs. Geekay Esports
–Weibo Gaming vs. Team CC
–Spacestation Gaming vs. VARREL
