Team Falcons and Crazy Raccoon each recorded a sweep on Saturday to advance to the upper bracket final of the Overwatch Champions Series 2024 Finals in Stockholm.

Team Falcons recorded a 3-0 decision over NTMR after posting a 2-0 win on Ilios, 2-1 victory on Shambali Monastery and 3-2 triumph on King’s Row.

Crazy Raccoon dispatched Toronto Defiant by the same final score, courtesy of a 2-0 win on Ilios, 5-1 victory on Hanaoka and 3-2 triumph on King’s Row.

Toronto Defiant rebounded from the setback and defeated both Twisted Minds and NRG Shock to advance to the lower-bracket final.

Eight teams qualified for the championship event, formatted in a double-elimination bracket. After Friday’s initial quarterfinal matches were best-of-three, the rest of the tournament’s matches will be best-of-five until the best-of-seven grand final on Sunday.

The prize pool is TBD, as it’s being crowdfunded by a quarter of the revenue from in-game cosmetic purchases.

On Saturday, Toronto Defiant recorded a 3-2 victory over Twisted Minds. Defiant notched a 2-1 win on Ilios, a 1-0 victory on Watchpoint: Gibraltar and 3-1 triumph on New Junk City to upend Twisted Minds, who posted a 4-3 victory on King’s Row and a 128.2m-128.19 win on Runasapi.

Defiant had a much easier time of it versus NRG Shock, securing a 3-0 sweep after a 2-1 win on Ilios and 3-1 victories on both Suravasa and Shambali Monastery.

NRG Shock advanced to that match with a sweep of NTMR, courtesy of a 2-1 win on Oasis, 1-0 victory on Circuit Royal and 3-1 triumph on New Junk City.
