Lynn Vision Gaming, Legacy and TYLOO secured the final three berths into Group Stage 2 with victories at the BLAST.tv Austin Major on Friday in Texas.

In the fifth and final round of Group Stage 1, Lynn Vision knocked off NRG 2-0, Legacy defeated Wildcard by the same score and TYLOO came from behind to beat FlyQuest 2-1.

The $1.25 million Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event, which began with 32 teams, features three Swiss-system group stages.

Sixteen teams advanced through qualifying events to reach Group Stage 1, where all early-round matches were a single map while advancement and elimination matches were best-of-three.

The top eight teams in Group Stage 1 advanced to Group Stage 2, where eight invited teams await: Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, 3DMAx, Virtus.pro, paiN Gaming, FURIA, MIBR and M80.

The same process applies in Group Stage 2, with the top eight squads moving on to Group Stage 3, where eight more invited teams will join the action: Team Vitality, MOUZ, Team Spirit, G2 Esports, The MongolZ, Aurora Gaming, Natus Vincere and Team Liquid.

The top eight teams in Group Stage 3 advance to the single-elimination playoffs, where all matches will be best-of-3, including the grand final on June 22.

The winning team will earn $500,000, and the runner-up will pocket $170,000.

On Friday, Lynn Vision outlasted NRG 22-20 in overtime on Dust II before finishing the job 13-8 on Inferno. Junjie “EmiliaQAQ” Tang led Lynn Vision’s all-Chinese roster with 59 kills and a plus-19 kills-deaths differential. Canadian Jadan “HexT” Postma had 50 kills on a plus-4 differential for NRG.

Legacy notched wins of 13-10 on Inferno and 13-6 on Nuke to eliminate Wildcard. Vinicius “n1ssim” Pereira led Legacy’s all-Brazilian roster with 36 kills and a plus-13 K-D. For Wildcard, Sweden’s Love “phzy” Smidebrant had 29 kills on a plus-3 K-D.

TYLOO lost 13-10 to FlyQuest on the first map, Inferno, before rallying with monster 13-3 wins on Mirage and Anubis. Yi “JamYoung” Yang led the all-Chinese TYLOO squad with 50 kills and a plus-23 differential.
