Thieves, Liquid to play for title in Championship of The Americas Cross-Conference

100 Thieves and Team Liquid posted victories on Saturday to earn berths in the grand final of the Championship of The Americas 2025 Cross-Conference event in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Thieves and Liquid won their matches in three maps and will meet on Sunday, with the winner qualifying for the First Stand tournament next month. The runner-up earns $20,000.

The Thieves had to rally on Saturday, as FlyQuest posted a 29-minute win on red. The Thieves then got consecutive wins, on red in 39 minutes and on blue in 38 minutes.

Victor “FBI” Huang, an Australian/Chinese player, led the winners with a kills-deaths-assists ratio of 14-7-19. Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek, a Canadian/Iraqi player, paced FlyQuest with a ratio of 17-3-12.

Liquid started its match with Cloud9 with a 34-minute win on red. Cloud9 responded on blue to take the second map in 30 minutes, but Liquid clinched on blue in 33 minutes.

Sean “Yeon” Sung of the U.S. dominated for Liquid with a KDA ratio of 17-7-21, while Lee “Loki” Sang-min of South Korea led Cloud9 at 12-8-9.

The $40,000 LTA Cross-Conference tournament is the first League of The Americas Cross-Conference event of the year. Eight teams competed in a single-elimination bracket leading to Sunday’s grand final.
