Warriors Gaming Squad moved within one victory of a second consecutive NBA 2K League 5v5 championship, sweeping Pistons GT 2-0 on Friday in the Western Conference finals in Washington.

Standing in the way of the top-seeded Warriors, who also won The Tipoff and The Turn events earlier this season, will be Celtics Crossover Gaming. The Celtics rallied for a 2-1 victory over Cavs Legion GC in the Eastern Conference finals.

The NBA 2K League 5v5 playoffs, which feature a single-elimination bracket, began with six teams vying for portions of a $900,000 prize pool. All matches through the semifinals were best-of-three, while finals on Saturday will be best-of-five.

The Warriors will attempt to join Wizards District Gaming (2020, 2021) as the only two-time 5v5 champions in the NBA 2K League, which began in 2018.

Charlie “CB13” Bostwick led the Warriors on Friday with averages of 27 points and nine assists in 72-62 and 80-64 victories over the Pistons.

Jaden “Nay” Bhopal added a pair of double-doubles for the Warriors, averaging 17 points and 11.5 rebounds. Anthony “ANT” Costanzo averaged 30.5 points and 6.5 assists for the Pistons.

The Cavs opened the Eastern Conference title series with an 82-62 win, but the Celtics bounced back to register 71-60 and 75-59 victories.

Jhade “Colt” Black guided the Celtics with averages of 20.3 points and 10 rebounds, while teammate David “Leche” Jamous contributed 18 points and 14 assists per contest. The Cavs’ Brian “Killeyy” Diaz put up 18 points and 5.3 assists per game.
