Yandex, Aurora, HEROIC reach PGL Wallachia Season 7 playoffs

Team Yandex, Aurora Gaming and HEROIC all posted 2-1 wins on Tuesday to clinch berths in the PGL Wallachia Season 7 playoffs in Bucharest, Romania.

Yandex rallied past PARIVISION, Aurora outlasted Xtreme Gaming and HEROIC defeated Natus Vincere in Round 4 action involving 2-1 teams in the group stage of the $1 million Dota 2 tournament.

Three other teams were eliminated in Tuesday’s matchups of 1-2 teams: BetBoom Team swept Yellow Submarine while Vici Gaming defeated Team Falcons 2-1 and Tundra Esports knocked out OG by the same score.

The 16-team group stage concludes Wednesday. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the bottom eight are eliminated. Team Liquid and Team Spirit secured playoff spots on Monday.

Wednesday’s do-or-die clashes between 2-2 teams will see Xtreme Gaming vs. Vici Gaming, Natus Vincere vs. BetBoom Team and PARIVISION vs. Tundra Esports.

The double-elimination playoffs run from Thursday to Sunday. All matches are best-of-three until the best-of-five grand final, with the winning team taking home $300,000.
