Abraham Toro hit a two-run home run and added a single as the visiting Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 on Wednesday night.Owen Miller added a two-run double in a two-hit game for the Brewers, who evened the three-game series at one win apiece with the rubber match set for Thursday afternoon.Matt Chapman had two doubles for Toronto.Toronto right-hander Alek Manoah (1-6) allowed two runs, three hits and three walks while striking out two in four innings.Milwaukee right-hander Julio Teheran (1-1) allowed one unearned run and four hits without any walks or strikeouts in six innings. Brian Anderson led off the second inning with a walk and Toro, recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, followed with his first homer of the season, sending a fastball 347 feet to right. Teheran pitched around a double in the second and a double in the third.Trevor Richards replaced Manoah and worked around a single in the fifth.Whit Merrifield reached first base to open the bottom of the fifth when Toro committed a throwing error on a grounder to third. He scored when Kevin Kiermaier's bloop to right field bounced past Anderson for a triple.Richards came back to pitch a perfect sixth with two strikeouts.Tim Mayza took over for Richards in the top of the seventh and allowed one-out singles to Joey Wiemer and Christian Yelich. The Brewers executed a double steal and Miller followed with a two-run double down the left field line. Miller took third on a groundout and Adam Cimber replaced Mayza.Joel Payamps, a former Blue Jay, replaced Teheran and allowed Chapman's leadoff double in the seventh. Merrifield's infield single to shortstop put runners at the corners. Chapman scored on Cavan Biggio's one-out groundout to shortstop.Peter Strzelecki set the Blue Jays down in order in the eighth inning.Toronto's Anthony Bass worked around a leadoff walk in the top of the ninth.Devin Williams allowed a leadoff double to Daulton Varsho in the bottom of the ninth before retiring the next three batters to earn his ninth save of the season.--Field Level Media
