FC Dallas looks to keep its momentum moving forward when it hosts the struggling Seattle Sounders on Saturday in a Western Conference match in Frisco, Texas.

Dallas (3-2-2, 11 points) heads home on a three-game unbeaten streak that includes a 1-1 draw in Atlanta on April 5 in its most recent outing. After surrendering a penalty kick goal in the early minutes, Petar Musa produced the equalizer for the Toros in the 60th minute against Atlanta, scoring his third goal of the season to tie Luciano Acosta for the team lead.

Of Dallas’ 10 goals this season, Musa has been involved in six of them.

With a win or a draw on Saturday, the Toros would match their longest unbeaten run of last season.

“We’re not trying to conserve, we want to be smart, but when the moment is there, take it and steal it, you go do it,” FC Dallas coach Eric Quill said of his mindset for the team. “I instill that aggression, that belief in these guys to do that, and we almost did it (against Atlanta). But I like where we’re trending. I like where we’re going.”

Seattle (1-3-3, 6 points) finds itself in an unaccustomed position, in 12th place in the 15-team West. The Sounders haven’t won since March 8 when they beat Los Angeles FC 5-2 at home and are 0-2-2 in the four matches since, including a 3-0 setback at expansion San Diego FC on April 5 the last time out.

A large portion of the Sounders’ early-season woes have been caused by injuries as forwards Jordan Morris, Pedro de la Vega and Paul Arriola have all missed significant time. Arriola, Dallas’ former captain who was signed by Seattle in the offseason, will miss the rest of the campaign with a torn ACL.

Morris’ three goals (in just three matches, two of them starts) lead the team.

Saturday will also be the return of former Dallas star striker Jesus Ferreira, who was traded to Seattle before the 2025 season. Ferreira has not scored but has distributed two assists.

“We know this is not the start we would want,” Ferreira said after Wednesday’s practice. “But I think it’s part of the process. We’re learning about each other and it’s going to come in time. We have to flip that switch at some point, and it has to be soon.”

It’s the finale of a three-match road trip for Seattle, which has one point from its four away contests in 2025.

The Sounders have not lost to Dallas in the regular season since 2022, a five-game unbeaten streak. Seattle also beat Dallas in the first round of the 2023 playoffs.
