Expansion Denver Summit FC signed defender Eva Gaetino from Paris Saint-Germain of France’s Premiere League.

She is under contract with the Summit through the 2028 season. The National Women’s Soccer League club announced her signing on Saturday but didn’t release any financial details.

Gaetino, 23, is from Dexter, Mich. She has made two appearances with the U.S. women’s national team.

In college, she appeared in 76 matches (75 starts) at Notre Dame from 2020-23 and twice was a first-team All-American and also a back-to-back winner of Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year.

“Joining Denver Summit FC is an exciting next step for me,” she said. “This club is building something special, and I’m honored to be part of it from the beginning. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience, competing at the highest level in the NWSL, and helping set the standard for this team.”

After signing with Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, she scored in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarterfinals and won the Coupe de France Feminine with the club..

“Eva is a special talent who has competed at the highest levels of the game at a young age,” Denver general manager Curt Johnson said. “Her experience in the Champions League, her success at Notre Dame, and her continued growth as a player make her an outstanding addition to our roster as we build toward our inaugural season.”
