Eugenio Suarez, Elly De La Cruz and Tyler Stephenson had two RBIs each Tuesday night for the visiting Cincinnati Reds, who rolled to a 7-2 win over the sinking New York Mets.

Every starter except Spencer Steer had at least one hit for the Reds, who have won three straight and five of their last six.

Juan Soto hit a two-run homer while Luis Torrens finished with two hits for the Mets, who have lost five in a row and seven of their last eight.

JJ Bleday finished with three hits for the Reds while Sal Stewart had two hits, including an eighth-inning RBI single. De La Cruz, Stephenson and Dane Myers collected two hits apiece.

Chase Burns (7-1) won his sixth straight decision after giving up two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 5 1/3 innings.

Mets starter David Peterson (3-5) allowed six runs on 11 hits and three walks while striking out four over five-plus innings.

The Reds scored twice in the first despite running into a pair of outs on the basepaths. Blake Dunn, who drew a leadoff walk, was thrown out trying to steal second for the second out before Stewart singled and Steer walked. Suarez followed with a two-RBI double, but he was thrown out trying to score on Myers’ single to left.

Peterson nearly wriggled out of a bases-loaded jam with only one run allowed in the fourth, when the Reds opened with three straight singles, including Stephenson’s RBI hit. Third baseman Brett Baty tagged Bleday trying to get back to third on Matt McLain’s grounder and Dunn grounded out before de La Cruz laced a two-run double to deep right-center.

Bleday led off the sixth with a single before Stephenson chased Peterson with an RBI double.

The Mets got just one runner beyond first base until the sixth, when Bo Bichette singled with one out before Soto’s homer. A.J. Ewing singled, after which Sam Moll entered and got pinch-hitter Mark Vientos to ground into a double play.

Stewart delivered the Reds’ third straight two-out single in the eighth to score Dunn.
