Nick Madrigal and Wade Meckler had four hits apiece as the Los Angeles Angels salvaged the finale of a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies, winning 11-4 on Wednesday in Anaheim, Calif.

Los Angeles’ Vaughn Grissom homered and drove in three runs. Madrigal had an RBI and a run, and Meckler doubled and scored twice.

Oswald Peraza went 2-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Jose Siri hit an RBI double and scored two runs for the Angels, who tied a season high with 16 hits.

Angels starter Walbert Urena (3-4) allowed three runs on three hits and three walks over six innings while striking out seven.

Tyler Freeman homered, Troy Johnston had two hits and two RBIs and Hunter Goodman doubled, walked, stole a base and drove in a run for Colorado, which had won four of its previous five games.

Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen (2-8) permitted eight runs on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings. He walked two and struck out five while falling to 0-6 in his last seven starts. Lorenzen has allowed major league highs of 99 hits and 54 earned runs while throwing 60 2/3 innings (8.01 ERA) this season.

Los Angeles sent 10 batters to the plate while parlaying six hits and a walk into a 6-0 lead in the second inning. Siri had an RBI double and Logan O’Hoppe, Grissom and Peraza added RBI singles to highlight the inning, which featured two more runs scoring on wild pitches by Lorenzen.

Colorado cut the deficit to 6-1 in the fourth when Goodman lined a two-out double to right-center and scored on a double over the head of right fielder Jorge Soler by Johnston.

The Angels extended the lead to 8-1 in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run homer by Grissom. The 408-foot drive to left knocked in Meckler, who had singled.

The Rockies pulled within 8-3 in the fifth inning on Freeman’s home run, a two-run drive into the bullpen in left.

The Angels extended the lead to 9-3 in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single by Jo Adell. The hosts added two insurance runs in the sixth on an RBI double off the wall in left-center by Peraza and an RBI single by Madrigal.
