Colson Montgomery and Chase Meidroth each belted two-run home runs on Sunday afternoon to help the Chicago White Sox earn a 6-4 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.

Erick Fedde (2-5) earned the win, throwing 2 2/3 scoreless innings in relief and allowing three hits while striking out four and walking two. The White Sox won their fourth game in five tries and posted their first series win over the Dodgers since June 2014.

Emmet Sheehan (3-4) allowed three runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking one for the Dodgers, who dropped their first series since losing two of three against the Atlanta Braves from May 8-10.

The Dodgers struck first in the first inning against Chicago opener Bryan Hudson, as Freddie Freeman connected on his 11th homer of the season to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.

Sean Newcomb threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings in relief for Chicago, striking out four and walking one.

A day after being no-hit for eight innings by Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the White Sox tallied their first hit in the fourth on Sunday, as Colson Montgomery slashed a two-out double. Sheehan escaped his first jam, though, striking out Braden Montgomery to end the inning.

Chicago evened the score in the sixth on the second home run of rookie Sam Antonacci’s career — a 415-foot blast to right. After Miguel Vargas singled and stole second, the White Sox took the lead on Andrew Benintendi’s RBI double, chasing Sheehan from the game.

Jack Dreyer then entered in relief, allowing Colson Montgomery’s 17th homer of the year to extend the Chicago lead to 4-1.

Braden Montgomery followed with a single and Meidroth tacked on a two-run homer, pushing the margin to five.

Grant Taylor threw the seventh, allowing Dalton Rushing’s leadoff double. After a wild pitch, Alex Freeland’s sac fly cut the deficit to 6-2.

Mookie Betts connected on a solo home run off Taylor in the eighth to pull within three.

Seranthony Dominguez took over in the ninth for the White Sox. Ryan Ward walked and scored on Freeland’s one-out double. Shohei Ohtani then walked, before Andy Pages grounded into a forceout to place runners on the corners with two outs. Dominguez struck out Freeman to secure his 12th save in 15 tries.
