Robbie Ray threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings and Jung Ho Lee hit a home run and drove in a pair of runs to help the visiting San Francisco Giants earn a 7-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves in the resumption of a suspended game on Wednesday afternoon.

Before the game was halted for rain on Tuesday, Grant Holmes (4-3) started for Atlanta, allowing three runs on four hits in two innings, walking three and striking out two. The Braves have dropped five of their last six games.

For San Francisco, Adrian Houser gave up Drake Baldwin’s 473-foot leadoff homer on Tuesday – the longest in the majors this year – in the first. It was Baldwin’s first at-bat since sustaining a strained right oblique on May 18.

After Mauricio Dubon’s RBI single gave the Braves a 2-1 lead, Bryce Eldridge worked a bases loaded walk and Matt Chapman hit a sacrifice fly to give the Giants a 3-2 advantage.

Ray (5-6) took over on Wednesday, allowing just two hits while striking out eight and walking two for the Giants, who had dropped four of their last six entering the series. Chapman drove in two runs, while Rafael Devers and Willy Adames each hit solo home runs.

James Karinchak threw a perfect third before Dylan Dodd entered in the fourth for the Braves.

In the fifth, Devers hit his 10th homer of the season to give the Giants a 4-2 edge. Lee followed with his fourth home run of the year to push the margin to three.

In the eighth, Atlanta’s Anthony Molina allowed Adames’ 12th homer – a 424-foot shot – to extend San Francisco’s lead to 6-2.

After Ray allowed Matt Olson’s one-out single in the eighth, Dylan Smith entered in relief. Smith retired Ozzie Albies, but Dominic Smith’s single placed runners on the corners. Dubon lined out to center to end the inning.

Luis Arraez and Eldridge singled in the ninth off Molina, setting up Chapman’s run-scoring groundout which gave the Giants a 7-2 edge.

The teams will play their regularly scheduled game at 7:15 on Wednesday night.
