Paul Goldschmidt capped a five-run fifth inning by hitting a three-run homer and the New York Yankees extended their home winning streak over the Chicago White Sox to nine games with a 10-5 victory on Wednesday night.

The Yankees won their fourth straight overall and 15th in 20 games. New York also improved to 9-4 since losing Aaron Judge to a right rib injury and has outscored Chicago 22-7 in the first two games of the series.

Goldschmidt homered for the third time in four games and hit his 11th of the season, surpassing his total from 2025. He gave the Yankees a 9-3 lead by lifting a 1-1 fastball from Tyler Davis into the right field seats.

Cody Bellinger hit a two-run homer off Chicago’s Anthony Kay (6-2) to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Bellinger finished a triple shy of the cycle and registered his fifth three-plus-hit game this season.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. added a leadoff homer in the seventh as the Yankees scored double-digit runs for the ninth time.

Jose Caballero hit a two-run single in the fifth for the Yankees, who finished with 13 hits after totaling 16 in a 12-2 rout on Tuesday. Anthony Volpe hit an RBI triple and Ali Sanchez contributed an RBI single in the second.

Colson Montgomery hit a three-run homer off Carlos Rodon (3-2) in the third to get the White Sox within one run before the Yankees pulled away. Montgomery notched his first career multi-homer game when he connected for a solo shot in the eighth off Paul Blackburn.

Rookie Sam Antoncacci homered in the ninth as the White Sox fell to 5-5 in a stretch of 11 straight games against the Philadelphia Phillies, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Dodgers and Yankees.

Rodon improved to 4-0 in four starts against his former team, allowing three runs on seven hits in five innings. The left-hander struck out seven and walked one.

Rodon pitched with runners on base in each inning. He protected a one-run lead by getting three straight strikeouts to strand a runner in the fourth and retired Montgomery on a groundout with a runner on to end the fifth.

Kay gave up four runs on six hits in four innings. He struck out two and walked one. Sean Newcomb allowed three runs in the fifth, exiting in the frame after a Volpe liner hit him in the left triceps.
