American star Christian Pulisic indicated that he’s fit to play 90 minutes — or even 120 — when the United States face Bosnia and Herzegovina in a World Cup round of 32 match on Wednesday night at Santa Clara, Calif.

Pulisic rates himself as recovered from the calf injury he sustained on June 12 against Paraguay when he exited at halftime of the team’s 4-1 victory. He missed a victory over Australia before returning to play 33 minutes as a reserve against Turkey on June 25.

“I felt great in the last game against Turkey,” Pulisic told reporters on Tuesday. “I’m feeling good this week, and I’m definitely ready to go for tomorrow.”

Not wanting to make any assumptions, Pulisic said he was unsure if he would be in the starting lineup.

“We’ll get that figured out today, but I’m feeling really good,” Pulisic said.

With 33 international goals and 21 assists in 88 matches, the 27-year-old Pulisic is the USMNT’s active scoring leader and one of their most important players. He led the USMNT with his playmaking skills as they opened a 3-0 halftime lead against Paraguay.

The United States won their first two World Cup matches before falling against Turkey in their final Group D contest. Now comes a test against Bosnia and Herzegovina, who went 1-1-1 in Group B play and advanced as a third-place team.

“We’re expecting a really tough game,” Pulisic said. “We saw a lot of good things from them in the group stage. We’ve seen in the knockout so far that there hasn’t been an easy game for anyone. So we’re not expecting an easy game.

“I think it’s going to be a really good game. We’ll have to put on a really good performance if we want to win.”
