Two-time Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky signed a three-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed by the team, however multiple media outlets reported it was worth $21 million.

Bobrovsky, 37, was unable to come to terms with the Florida Panthers. The team shifted gears and acquired Jacob Markstrom from the New Jersey Devils and Akira Schmid from the Vegas Golden Knights.

Bobrovsky will contend with former Panthers teammate Anthony Stolarz and Dennis Hildeby among goaltenders with the Maple Leafs.

A two-time Stanley Cup champion, Bobrovsky posted a 27-23-1 record with a 3.07 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage last season. He is coming off a seven-year, $70 million contract.

He was named the Vezina Trophy recipient in 2013 and 2017 while playing with the Columbus Blue Jackets.
