The men’s singles final of the Mubadala DC Open between No. 3 seed Taylor Fritz and Spanish up-and-comer Rafael Jodar was postponed from Sunday to Monday due to inclement weather in Washington.

The men’s final was slated to follow the women’s singles final Sunday afternoon, but that match stalled out in the second set due to lightning in the area followed by persistent rain. That match between Jessica Pegula and the Philippines’ Alexandra Eala will resume Monday at noon Eastern time, with the men’s match to follow.

Jodar, 19, is looking for the second trophy of his rookie year following an April title in Morocco. Fritz, 28, is vying for his first title since June 2025 at Eastbourne, England.

National Bank Open

Only two matches were completed Sunday before inclement weather scrapped the remainder of the schedule at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Montreal.

Spaniard Jaume Munar defeated Australia’s Rinky Hijikata 7-6 (3), 6-3, and China’s Juncheng Shang swept past Paraguay’s Adolfo Daniel Vallejo 6-3, 6-3.

Two other matches had completed two sets when play was halted and later postponed for the day. Michael Zheng and Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic won one set apiece, both by 6-4 scorelines. Aleksandar Kovacevic took the first set against Portugal’s Nuno Borges 7-6 (7) before Borges responded to win the second set 6-2.
