Ozzie Albies hit a go-ahead RBI single in the eighth inning and Raisel Iglesias pitched around a leadoff triple in the ninth as the Atlanta Braves posted a 4-3 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.

Shohei Ohtani began the ninth with a deep drive that bounced off left fielder Lane Thomas’ glove, allowing the Los Angeles superstar to reach third. Iglesias then struck out Freddie Freeman and got Mookie Betts to ground out.

After Max Muncy was intentionally walked, Tommy Edman flied out to center field, preserving Atlanta’s second straight win and Iglesias’ 28th save in 31 tries.

Braves starter Bryce Elder threw six innings of three-run, eight-hit ball, striking out five and walking none. Dylan Dodd (4-1) had a two-pitch outing, getting the last out of the eighth.

Making his first start since May 6, having recovered from lower back spasms, Los Angeles’ Tyler Glasnow went five innings and allowed three runs on six hits. He struck out seven and issued no walks as the Dodgers’ six-game winning streak ended.

Olson began the bottom of the eighth with a double off Tanner Scott (1-4). Dubon’s groundout advanced Olson to third, and the runner held when Michael Harris II grounded back to the mound. Albies then lined a single to center, putting Atlanta on top.

In the first, Atlanta’s Drake Baldwin and Olson singled to put runners on the corners with one out. Mauricio Dubon and Harris then laced consecutive RBI singles, and Albies’ sacrifice fly gave the Braves a 3-0 lead.

After Muncy and Kyle Tucker singled in the second, Alek Thomas and Hunter Feduccia both had RBI base hits to pull the Dodgers within one.

Los Angeles tied the score in the fourth. Edman singled and stole second before scoring on Alex Call’s single.

The Dodgers threatened in the sixth, as Edman was hit by a pitch and went to third on Call’s one-out single. Elder escaped, though, striking out Lane Thomas and Feduccia to finish his start.

Los Angeles reliever Evan Phillips entered with runners at first and second and two outs in the seventh, but he got Ronald Acuna Jr. to ground out sharply and keep the game tied.

Dodd faced the same challenge in the top of the eighth, and he stranded two runners by getting pinch hitter Miguel Rojas to fly out.
