Unrivaled valuation jumps to $650M after latest round of fundraising

Unrivaled’s rapid rise in women’s basketball has carried over to its worth, with the 3-on-3 league now valued at $650 million following its latest funding round.

The league raised more than $100 million in an oversubscribed Series C round led by Ten Pillars Sports Fund, which is backed by UC Investments. The new valuation nearly doubles the $340 million figure Unrivaled reached following its Series B round in September 2025.

Among those reinvesting were Carmelo Anthony, UConn coach Geno Auriemma, Washington Wizards guard Trae Young, former U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan and Trybe Ventures, and actor Ashton Kutcher.

“I think this is a testament to how quickly the space is evolving and growing, but also to the incredible foundation that we’ve built,” Unrivaled CEO and co-founder Alex Bazzell told Front Office Sports.

Players remain the league’s largest shareholder group, one of the central ideas behind the venture founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier along with Bazzell (Collier’s husband). The player equity pool is now worth nearly $200 million, or roughly 30% of Unrivaled’s overall valuation.

Bazzell said at least 95% of the league’s players have some form of equity. All 36 players who signed for Unrivaled’s inaugural season received ownership stakes, while the league has guaranteed all players six-figure salaries since its 2025 debut.

The latest investment arrives as Unrivaled prepares for its third season. More than 90% of its 2027 roster has already been signed, with Olivia Miles and Gabby Williams among the newcomers.

For now, expansion will center more on where Unrivaled plays than on how many teams it fields. After selling out stops at NBA arenas in Brooklyn and Philadelphia last season, the league is planning approximately eight road stops in 2027.

Unrivaled also expects to leave its 1,000-seat home venue, Sephora Arena, near Miami, by 2028, with Bazzell saying the league has outgrown the building. A larger venue with a capacity of approximately 2,500 to 4,000 fans is being considered.
