The New England Revolution signed veteran midfielder Daniel Gazdag through December 2027 on Tuesday with club options through the 2028-29 season.

The 30-year-old Hungarian is the all-time leading scorer in Philadelphia Union history with 72 goals across all competitions from 2021-25. He joined the Columbus Crew in April 2025 and scored seven goals in 43 MLS matches before agreeing to a contract buyout last week.

“Daniel has proven over several years that he is one of our league’s premier goal-scoring midfielders, and his versatility and quality on the ball will add another critical piece to our attack,” Revs general manager and chief soccer officer Chris Tierney said.

–The Houston Dynamo transferred midfielder Jack McGlynn to Stoke City of the EFL Championship.

McGlynn, 23, has played in MLS since his debut with Philadelphia in 2021. He had 15 goals and 27 assists in 143 career regular-season matches, including six goals and eight assists in 2025 in his first year with Houston and another two goals and six assists through 18 games this year.

“When we signed Jack to the club, we committed to work with him to fulfill his dream of continuing his career in Europe,” Dynamo president of soccer Pat Onstad said in a release. “While the timing of this move is not ideal for the Club, it is important that we honor our commitments to our players. We wish Jack every success in the next step of his career.”

–The Dynamo also agreed to terminate the contract of Erik Sviatchenko, as the defender is signing with Port FC in Thailand’s top flight.

The 34-year-old joined Houston on a full transfer from FC Midtjylland in Denmark in March 2023. He totaled 80 MLS appearances with the Dynamo, scoring two goals and recording five assists.

Sviatchenko was a central figure in Houston’s 2023 U.S. Open Cup title and run to the 2023 MLS Cup Western Conference final.

–The Chicago Fire signed Norwegian defender Andreas Hanche-Olsen and Georgian midfielder Anzor Mekvabishvili.

Hanche-Olsen, 29, arrives from German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 and will occupy an international roster slot. He is signed through the 2030-31 season. He has scored 12 goals and 10 assists in more than 300 matches across Norway, Belgium and Germany.

Mekvabishvili, 25, transfers from Romanian Liga 1 club Universitatea Craiova and will occupy an international roster slot. He is signed through 2028-29 with an option for 2029-30. He accumulated four championships while making more than 230 appearances across Europe.

–The Colorado Rapids acquired Israeli striker Sayed Abu Farkhi from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Farkhi, 20, joins the club as a U22 initiative player on a contract through the 2029-30 MLS season with an option for 2030-31. He will take up an international roster slot.

He scored 14 goals and added three assists in 45 appearances across all competitions for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

–The Vancouver Whitecaps acquired Angolan defender Rui Modesto and Guinea international forward Yadaly Diaby.

Modesto, 26, arrives via transfer from Italian Serie A side Udinese and is signed through 2029-30 with a club option or 2030-31. He tallied 28 goals and 32 assists in 160 professional appearances in Europe.

Diaby, 26, transfers from French Ligue 2 side Grenoble Foot 38 and is signed through 2029-30 with an option for the 2030-31 season. He registered 30 goals and 12 assists in 158 appearances for clubs in France and Austria.
