Pete Alonso, Jeremiah Jackson and Christian Encarnacion-Strand each homered for the second consecutive game Wednesday night, and the visiting Baltimore Orioles completed a three-game sweep of the New York Mets with a 7-1 victory.

Samuel Basallo also homered and finished with two RBIs for the Orioles (75-78), who are 2 1/2 games back of the Chicago White Sox in the race for the third American League wild-card spot.

Chris Bassitt tossed 6 2/3 solid innings and combined with three relievers on a seven-hitter.

Marcus Semien had an RBI single for the Mets (69-83), who have dropped four straight — their longest skid since June. A.J. Ewing added two hits and a stolen base.

Alonso opened the scoring with a first-inning homer against Xzavion Curry (0-1). It was the 37th homer of the season for Alonso, who took a curtain call at Citi Field on Tuesday night after hitting his 300th career homer — a game-tying ninth-inning solo blast — to help Baltimore outlast New York 7-5 in 11 innings.

Alonso played for the Mets from 2019-25 and is their all-time home run leader with 264 round-trippers.

Encarnacion-Strand doubled to open the second before Jackson’s homer plated him one out later. Encarnacion-Strand hit his own two-run shot an inning later, and Basallo followed with a 425-foot homer to straightaway center.

Encarnacion-Strand and Jackson each went deep in the second inning Tuesday — the Orioles’ only runs until Alonso’s milestone homer.

Encarnacion-Strand had three hits Wednesday, including another leadoff double in the ninth before he scored on a Basallo single.

Bassitt (8-5) gave up one run on five hits and one walk while striking out one. He exited with two on in the seventh before Anthony Nunez struck out Luis Torrens.

Curry allowed six runs on six hits and one walk while striking out three over three innings in his first major league start since Sept. 28, 2024, when he was a member of the Miami Marlins.

Curry was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse earlier Wednesday to replace scheduled starter Robert Stock, who was placed on the 15-day injured list with numbness in his fingers.
