Christian Moore singled in automatic runner Zach Neto with a bases-loaded comebacker off pitcher Taylor Rogers’ leg with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning as the Los Angeles Angels rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif.

Moore drilled a first-pitch sweeper that caromed off the leg of Rogers (6-4) and back toward the third base line as Neto sprinted home.

Tayler Saucedo (1-1) struck out two during a scoreless inning of relief for the Angels (60-95), who tied it at 5-5 in the bottom of the ninth on a one-out homer by Vaughn Grissom.

Jose Siri homered and had two hits and two stolen bases, Adam Frazier had a two-run, pinch-hit double and Mike Trout also had two hits and two walks for Los Angeles.

Ryan Kreidler hit a home run, Victor Caratini went 2-for-5 with two RBIs, Walker Jenkins had two hits and a run and Josh Bell and Royce Lewis each had two hits for Minnesota (72-83).

Minnesota took a 2-0 lead in the third. Jenkins led off with a single and scored an out later on a double into the left-center-field gap by Luke Keaschall. Keaschall then stole third base and scored on a groundout by Austin Martin.

The Twins extended the lead to 3-0 an inning later when Brooks Lee doubled into the left field corner and scored on a single by Caratini.

Los Angeles cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth on a two-run homer by Siri.

Kreidler led off the fifth with his eighth home run, a 383-foot drive to left, to make it 4-2 and Caratini added an RBI single in the eighth for a 5-2 lead.

The Angels closed to 5-4 in the bottom of the eighth on Frazier’s pinch-hit double.

Los Angeles then forced extra innings in the bottom of the ninth when Grissom belted his 12th home run, a 400-foot drive to right-center, off A.J. Minter.

Los Angeles starter Reid Detmers allowed four runs on six hits in five innings, snapping a streak of seven straight quality starts. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out five, becoming the first Angels pitcher since Shohei Ohtani in 2022 to record 200 strikeouts in a season.

Minnesota starter Joe Ryan pitched five innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and one walk with five strikeouts.
