On the final day of the group stage for the $1 million Dota 2 tournament, 1w swept Pipsqueak+4, Nemesis rallied for a 2-1 win against Conventus Stellarum, and LGD swept MOUZ.
With those victories in Round 5, those three finished with 3-2 records to join Team Yandex and Xtreme Gaming (both 3-0) and Natus Vincere, Aurora Gaming and GamerLegion (all 3-1) in the double-elimination playoffs.
All matches in the playoffs are best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final, where the winning team will take home $300,000.
On Wednesday, 1w posted 37- and 63-minute wins on red against Pipsqueak+4. After Conventus Stellarum opened with a 49-minute win on green, Nemesis responded with 36- and 42-minute victories on green. LGD knocked out MOUZ with a 49-minute win on green and a 37-minute triumph on red.
