Bam Adebayo scored a season-high 35 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and Klay Thompson added 30 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with one second left in overtime, as the visiting Miami Heat rallied for a 117-116 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday in Inglewood, Calif.

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, and Davion Mitchell added 11 points and 10 assists as the Heat won for the third time in four games following an 0-4 start. Bobby Portis Jr. had 10 rebounds.

Miami had a chance to win in regulation with 2.7 seconds remaining, but Adebayo missed a jumper from the free-throw line at the buzzer. With one second remaining in overtime, Thompson made a 3-pointer from the left wing as he finished 8-for-17 from beyond the arc.

Darius Garland scored 26 points, including all nine of his points in overtime, for the Clippers, while Rui Hachimura added 21 points and nine rebounds. Los Angeles saw its losing streak reach six games after dropping consecutive contests despite holding double-digit fourth-quarter leads in both.

Brook Lopez scored 20 points, and Derrick Jones Jr. added 12. Hachimura could have given the Clippers the lead from the free-throw line with 2.7 seconds remaining in regulation but made just one of two attempts to keep the game tied at 107.

The Clippers led 116-112 with 1:19 remaining in overtime before the Heat pulled within one possession on a fadeaway by Adebayo, cutting the deficit to 116-114 with 1:04 left. The Clippers’ Max Strus missed two shots and committed a foul in the closing minute of the extra period before Thompson connected from 24 feet to win it.

The Clippers trailed 33-24 after one quarter before opening the second with a 26-2 run. Los Angeles went up 63-43 with 3:12 remaining in the first half and led 67-52 at halftime after shooting 72.7% from the floor in the second quarter.

The Heat won despite shooting 43.0% from the floor, while the Clippers shot 47.8% but committed 20 turnovers that led to 23 Miami points.
