LIV Golf’s broadcast reach will extend to Japan, Canada and much of Europe thanks to a multiyear partnership with London-based sports entertainment platform DAZN, the golf league and streaming service announced on Thursday.
The 3-year-old league, which landed a contract with Fox Sports for U.S. broadcasts last month, also for multiple years, will be available in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan and Canada, according to the agreement.
DAZN, the streaming and entertainment platform that dates back to 2007, reaches 200 markets around the world to enjoy on a “free, ad-supported basis,” according to the release.
The partnership promises current LIV Golf+ coverage, plus any “new, live and on-demand” content, according to the release.
DAZN said the newly dedicated space will become “a new and innovative fan engagement portal” for live, archived and behind-the-scenes content from LIV. DAZN also intends to create a paid subscription offering in the future, providing users with access to more premium content.
