The United States holds an 11-8 all-time lead and broke a three-event winning streak by Team Europe with their 15.5-12.5 win at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in 2024. Europe has not lost a Solheim Cup on home soil since 2015 in Germany. … Angela Stanford (U.S.) and Anna Nordqvist (Europe) will serve as the team captains. Nordqvist announced her retirement from the LPGA Tour last month. … Nelly Korda has accounted for 23 of the 41 career victories worldwide by members of the American team, which returns nine players from its 2024 team. Team Europe features four rookies, led by world No. 8 Lottie Woad. … The competition will consist of four foursome matches followed by four four-ball matches each on Friday and Saturday. Sunday will consist of 12 singles matches. … The Solheim Cup is being contested in the Netherlands for the first time.
