San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman has joined Luminosity as a shareholder and brand ambassador.

As part of his new role, Sherman will challenge other NFL players to compete in Call of Duty events.
“Luminosity is one of the most successful esports brands in the world, and I’m excited to be a part of it! As a brand ambassador and team captain of Luminosity, I plan to bring my competitive spirit and love of the game to the esports organization,” Sherman said in a statement. “I am especially eager to challenge some of my NFL rivals and teammates to join me for online matches, streamed on the Luminosity network for all our fans to view and enjoy.”
Sherman, 31, is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time first-team All-Pro who won a Super Bowl ring with the Seattle Seahawks after the 2013 season.
Sherman is in his second season with the 49ers after seven years in Seattle. He ranks second among active NFL players with 33 career interceptions in 121 regular season games.
