Cal Raleigh hit his major-league leading 31st home run and Donovan Solano drove in five runs to lead the visiting Seattle Mariners to a 14-6 win over the Chicago Cubs Sunday.

The teams combined for nine home runs on a warm and windy day at Wrigley Field. Twenty-one home runs were hit in the three-game series.

Solano and Dominic Canzone both had two home runs for the Mariners.

Seiya Suzuki had a pair of home runs for the Cubs and Kyle Tucker and Reese McGuire had one each.

Logan Gilbert (2-2, 3.12 ERA) picked up the win. The right-hander gave up four runs on eight hits, including three home runs, in five innings. He didn’t walk anyone and had six strikeouts on 90 pitches.

Colin Rea (4-3, 4.42 ERA) took the loss. The right-hander gave up seven runs on 11 hits, including four home runs, in 5 1/3 innings. He only walked one and struck out two on 89 pitches.

The Mariners started the scoring in the first when J.P. Crawford led off with a single. He scored when Raleigh drilled the first pitch he saw into the center field bleachers for his fourth homer of the series and a 2-0 Mariners lead.

Suzuki cut the lead in half in the bottom of the inning with a two-out home run to left.

Canzone made it 3-1 Mariners with a two-out home run in the second and Solano made it 4-1 with a one-out homer in the fourth.

Raleigh started another rally in the fifth with a one-out single. Randy Arozarena brought him home with a two-out single and a 5-1 Mariners lead.

The Cubs stormed back in the fifth when McGuire led off with a home run to center.

Tucker kept the inning going with a two-out single and Suzuki crushed his second home run deep to left to cut the Mariners lead to 5-4.

Canzone’s one-out home run in the sixth gave the Mariners a two-run cushion they would not relinquish.

The Mariners were leading 9-6 when they put the Cubs away with a five-run eighth, highlighted by a two-run, bases-loaded double by Arozarena.
