Cal Raleigh became the first Seattle Mariners player to hit three home runs in a game at T-Mobile Park, giving the hosts a 9-2 victory against the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday night.

The last Seattle player to hit three homers at home was Hall of Famer Edgar Martinez, who did so May 18, 1999, at the Kingdome. The team moved across the street into its new stadium later that summer.

Julio Rodriguez and Cole Young also went deep for the Mariners and right-hander Logan Gilbert (11-7) pitched five solid innings.

J.T. Realmuto homered for the Phillies, who had a nine-game winning streak snapped.

Rodriguez and Raleigh both homered in a five-run first inning against Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler (10-5), who dropped his fourth straight decision.

The Phillies scored in the first as Kyle Schwarber drew a leadoff walk and Bryce Harper and Luis Arraez singled with one out to load the bases. Schwarber scored on Alec Bohm’s groundout to second.

In the bottom of the inning, Randy Arozarena drew a leadoff walk, Dominic Canzone grounded a single to right and Rodriguez hit a three-run blast off the back wall of the Phillies’ bullpen in left field. Josh Naylor was thrown out trying to stretch a single to right into a double before Taylor Ward walked. Raleigh then launched a towering two-run shot to right.

Realmuto hit a liner over the wall with one out in the second to pull the Phillies within 5-2.

The Mariners scored in the third as Rodriguez and Naylor singled and Ward walked to load the bases. Rodriguez raced home on a wild pitch.

Raleigh and Young hit back-to-back homers to right leading off the fifth to make it 8-2 and end Wheeler’s evening.

Wheeler allowed eight runs on nine hits, with five walks and four strikeouts in four-plus innings.

Raleigh lined a solo shot over the wall in right with one out in the seventh off reliever Chase Shugart.

Gilbert gave up two runs on five hits, with two walks and five strikeouts in five innings. Seranthony Dominguez, Gabe Speier and Carlos Vargas combined for four innings of perfect relief.
