Josh Naylor drove in four runs, including the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, as the visiting Cleveland Guardians topped the Detroit Tigers, 9-8, on Tuesday night.

Cleveland ended Detroit’s four-game winning streak despite squandering a 6-0 lead.

Naylor, who reached base five times, also supplied a two-run homer. Jose Ramirez reached six times on three hits and three intentional walks while scoring two runs and driving in another. Angel Martinez added his first major league homer.

Scott Barlow (3-3) picked up the win and Emmanuel Clase notched his 28th save.

Gio Urshela hit a three-run homer and Colt Keith added a two-run shot for the Tigers.

The Guardians’ 10th-inning rally began when automatic runner Bo Naylor advanced to third on a Steven Kwan single off Will Vest (1-3). After a groundout, Ramirez was intentionally walked to load the bases. Josh Naylor then singled to center to give Cleveland the lead. Brayan Rocchio’s sacrifice fly scored Kwan to make it 9-7.

Carson Kelly’s sacrifice fly made it 9-8 in the bottom of the inning. Clase then gave up two singles before Justyn-Henry Malloy lined out to center to end the game.

The Guardians led 7-3 in the sixth before Detroit drew even in the bottom of the frame. Keith and Kelly had base hits before Urshela’s third homer of the year. Nick Sandlin replaced Lively and gave up Malloy’s game-tying solo shot with two outs.

Cleveland pounced on Tigers starter Kenta Maeda early, taking a 3-0 lead in the first.

Martinez hit his milestone homer over the right field fence with one out. Ramirez followed with a single and stole second.

Naylor then smashed a fastball over the left-center field wall for his 22nd homer. The Guardians added to their lead in the third on Ramirez’s RBI single and Andres Gimenez’s two-out, two-run double.

Detroit trimmed Cleveland’s lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the inning on Keith’s two-out homer, which followed a Matt Vierling infield single.

The Tigers scored another run off Guardians starter Ben Lively in the fourth on Urshela’s triple and Wenceel Perez’s RBI groundout.

Cleveland made it 7-3 in the sixth on Naylor’s bases-loaded RBI grounder before Detroit rallied.
