Junior Caminero hit two home runs, Jonathan Aranda had four hits, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Colorado Rockies 13-9 in Denver on Monday night.

Richie Palacios also went deep among his two hits, Chandler Simpson, Cedric Mullins and Taylor Walls had two hits each and Ian Seymour tossed six strong innings for Tampa Bay. Seymour (8-3) allowed two runs on seven hits, fanned nine and didn’t walk a batter.

Ezequiel Tovar homered and singled three times, Mickey Moniak also went deep and tripled, and Kyle Karros, Cole Carrigg and Willi Castro had two hits each for Colorado.

The Rays scored in each of the first four innings to take control of the game. Caminero’s first home run, a two-run shot in the first, gave them a 2-0 lead against Michael Lorenzen, and they broke it open in the second inning.

Simpson and Palacios led off with singles and Kenny Piper, making his major league debut, drew a walk to load the bases. Walls drove in a pair with a single to right, Piper scored on Yandy Diaz’s sacrifice fly and Walls scored on Aranda’s RBI single to make it 6-0.

Mullins drew a leadoff walk in the third, stole second and scored on Simpson’s single.

Lorenzen (3-10) allowed seven runs on seven hits in three innings.

Tovar hit a leadoff homer in the bottom of the third, his ninth of the season, but Caminero answered with his second homer of the game and 32nd of the season in the fourth.

The Rays scored twice in the seventh to make it 10-2, but the Rockies kept rallying.

They scored twice in the seventh on a sacrifice fly and an RBI single from Karros, Tampa Bay answered in the eighth with a run and Moniak led off the bottom of the frame with a 447-foot blast to right field, his 18th homer of the season.

Palacios hit a two-run homer in the ninth but Colorado responded with four in its half. Kevin Kelly came on with a runner on and retired TJ Rumfield on one pitch to end the game.
