Alec Bohm ripped a two-run triple in the 10th inning, fueling the host Philadelphia Phillies to a 7-6 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday in the opener of a three-game series.

After Jose Fermin’s RBI single staked St. Louis to a 6-5 lead in the top of the 10th, the Phillies put runners on the corners with no outs in the bottom of the inning. Bohm’s triple to center field off Luis Gastelum (3-3) plated both automatic runner Bryce Harper and Luis Arraez to extend Philadelphia’s season-high winning streak to seven games.

The late heroics made a winner out of Alex McFarlane (2-1), who allowed one run on one hit in one inning.

Gastelum permitted two runs on two hits in one inning.

Bohm, who also had an RBI single, joined Arraez with three hits to move the Phillies a season-best 13 games over .500.

J.T. Realmuto ripped a pair of RBI doubles and Brandon Marsh added an RBI double for Philadelphia, which pulled within four games of the National League East-leading Atlanta Braves.

St. Louis’ Jordan Walker homered for the third time in as many games to highlight a three-hit performance.

Rookie Joshua Baez launched a two-run shot in the first, marking the first time he went deep since belting three homers in his big-league debut Aug. 15.

With Philadelphia nursing a 3-2 lead, St. Louis’ Ivan Herrera led off the sixth with an infield single before Walker provided his most recent fireworks. He capped a seven-pitch at-bat by depositing a fastball from Jesus Luzardo over the right-center-field wall for his team-leading 27th of the season.

The lead was short-lived as Bohm and Marsh singled off Caleb Ferguson in the bottom of the sixth. Gordon Graceffo relieved Ferguson and promptly gave up Realmuto’s second RBI double of the night. Crawford’s sacrifice fly plated Marsh to give the Phillies a 5-4 lead.

St. Louis’ Bryan Torres had an RBI single off Brooks Raley with two outs in the eighth to forge a tie.

Walker reached on a two-out infield single in the first before Baez sent a first-pitch fastball from Luzardo over the wall in right-center field. Luzardo was charged with four runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Philadelphia responded in the second as Marsh and Realmuto each recorded an RBI double off St. Louis starter Hunter Dobbins. Dobbins lasted four innings and gave up three runs on five hits with three walks and three strikeouts.

The Phillies claimed a 3-2 lead in the third after Arraez ripped a one-out double and came home on Bohm’s RBI single to right field.
