Adam Frazier and Andrew McCutchen each had three hits and an RBI, and Bryan Reynolds had two hits including a bases-clearing triple to help the host Pittsburgh Pirates top the Miami Marlins 10-3 on Monday night.

The Pirates extended their season-high winning streak to four in a row after a weather delay of 41 minutes prior to first pitch. Their offensive output matched a season high as they scored 10 runs in a game for the third time this season. Every starter in Pittsburgh’s lineup had at least one hit as the Pirates had 15 overall, although only four were extra-base hits and none were home runs.

Reynolds’ big hit highlighted a four-run third inning and came off returning Marlins’ starter Eury Perez (0-1), who made his first start since Sept. 20, 2023, after undergoing Tommy John surgery in April 2024.

Miami lost for the seventh time in its past eight games and is 3-10 over its past 13.

Perez threw only 70 pitches after allowing three of the four hits he surrendered in the game during that inning. He finished with five strikeouts and two walks.

The Pirates put up another four-run inning in the sixth when they batted around on reliever Janson Junk to take an 8-2 lead. Junk pitched four innings in relief and gave up five runs on nine hits and one walk.

Pirates catcher Brett Sullivan, who was recalled from the minors on Saturday after Endy Rodriguez was placed on the injured list, drove in a run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly and another in the seventh on an RBI single.

Otto Lopez had the game’s only home run when he hit his sixth of the season in the top of the second off Pirates rookie starter Mike Burrows to give the Marlins a 1-0 lead. Burrows pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six, matching his career high set in his previous start.

Chase Shugart recorded the final two outs of the fifth inning after Heriberto Hernandez scored the Marlins’ second run on a sacrifice fly by Jesus Sanchez. Hernandez led off the inning with a double and led Miami with two hits. Caleb Ferguson (2-0) pitched two perfect innings and struck out two after taking over to start the sixth.

To make room for Perez on the roster, the Marlins optioned right-hander Connor Gillispie to Triple-A Jacksonville. Miami also placed right-handed starter Ryan Weathers on the 60-day injured list with a left lat strain.
